The assault caused the partial shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking area.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which over twenty individuals were injured by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in Lambeth for suspected robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals are still being held, the force said.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been discharged.

Police detained a man in his thirties on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation while inquiries continue.

Police were called at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several individuals hurt by a noxious substance thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not considered terrorism - resulted in train delays and the partial closure of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
